Remedy For Hair Loss and Some Hair Loss Causes
Hair loss can be a common problem with both men and women.
The loss of your hair is something that I can confidently speak
of as my hair started to gradually thin from the age of about
twenty years old which got me extremely interested in finding
a remedy for hair loss.
Although at first I tended not to take too much notice as the
hair continued to fall out it started to dominate my thoughts
in my mind most of the time and this also lead to me suffering
a loss of self confidence.
Although I knew some men who accept this situation without any
care at all, I found that my life was totally beginning to change.
Suddenly any mention of hair loss, either in my personal
life or on the television, seemed to be aimed straight at me and
it really left me feeling hurt and insecure.
I did some research into the matter of hair loss and found that
the most common causes of baldness are:
Genetics: The loss of hair can be hereditary. So if there is a history
of hair loss in either your mothers family or your fathers family
you almost certainly may well have the same problem.
A staggering ninety eight percent plus of men who suffer hair loss have
directly had this trait passed down to them through their parents
genes.
Although in women this figure drops to fifty percent it is still
a considerable amount of women worldwide who will encounter baldness.
Only seven percent of men will encounter severe balding of the entire
head and if you have not got to this stage by the age of thirty
then the likelyhood is that you never will.
A definition of the male balding patterns is found in the Norwood
classification.
A majority of men will only suffer baldness on the top of their
head however they will still retain good hair groth on the sides.
As for women this is totally different and in general they will
experience gradual thinning of the hair all over their head and
not be especially afflicted in only certail areas.
Disease. Of course there are certain diseases which can effect the
growth of hair and these include, but are not limited to thyroid
disease, nemia and hormonal influences.
Autoimmune diseases can be responsible for patchy loss of hair.
Physical Manipulation: We should of course also take care in the way
we handle our hair as Turbans, tight braiding, rubber banding
and other devices could put stress on the hair and in turn could
result in hair loss.
Stress related hair loss: Stress can be a major factor in our general
health condition and this also includes the condition and growth of
our hair. A condition known as Telogen effluvium is stress related and
can seriously effect the condition of your hair and lead to hair loss.
Although this medical condition can be genetic it is also brought on by
stress and so people whose lives are stressful can begin to suffer from
this complaint.
Medicinal Causes: Certain medications have been known to cause the loss
of hair as one of their side effects.
These would include, but again are not limited to, the birth control pill,
tranquilizers, anabolic steroids, and antidepressants.
